Do-it-yourself Default Information ---------------------------------------- All references to 'points' are 1/72-th of an inch points unless stated otherwise. Font: Courier, 12 pt., Bold, at 9.74 chars/inch and 5.833 lines/inch. (My pages had 56 characters in 5.75 inches, and 35 lines in 6.00 inches. For those that don't want to or can't get that exact, 10 chars/inch and 6 lines/inch should be close enough and are very standard.) Margins: Top: 36 points (1/2 inch; Aprox. 3 lines [see Font]). Left: 72 points (1 inch; Aprox. 10 characters [see Font]). Right: Basically unlimited; Whatever is needed to fit the text. Lines per Page / Bottom Margin: 57 lines per page (actual text area, excluding margins. Provided text files of more than one page are formatted to this, the second page starting on line 58). This makes the bottom margin 36 points (1/2 inch; Aprox. 3 lines) on my system. If using 66 lines/page and 3 lines for the top margin, that would make your bottom margin 6 lines. Underlines do not include the trailing punctuation, if any, unless specifically stated as doing so. Picture locations are of their Upper-Left corner at 72 points-per- inch from the upper-left corner of the page (NOT from the text margin). All images are at 200 dpi (dots-per-inch) unless stated otherwise. In general, character images are 200 dpi while "(misc)" extra images may be at 300 dpi. [Note: If a page doesn't have its 'Format Info' option enabled, its text file may still need some updating.. In particular, any files that have "///" or "^L" as page indicators, or actual embedded tab (^I) characters. Be sure to use a current AscII text file when making your page.]
